John D. Madderra, P.E.
President and Principal Engineer
John has over thirty years of engineering experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has been licensed as a professional engineer in Alabama since 1994. John has worked on and has been responsible for a wide variety of projects including the design of custom industrial manufacturing equipment, mobile utility vehicle equipment and accessories, electric vehicles, industrial, commercial, and municipal HVAC systems, automotive fixtures, and injection mold equipment. He has taught courses in hydraulic systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. John has also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham teaching drafting, CAD, and advanced mechanical engineering design courses.
John has been married to his wife, Lisa, for over twenty years. They have two teenagers who are actively involved with their high school band and sports. John has many years of coaching youth sports, and has served as cubmaster to his son's scout pack. John has served on the board of directors for a large medical non-profit organization and on a parent advisory group for a local children's hospital. When John has a few minutes, he enjoys restoring and maintaining antique cars.
